Tea for more than Two

Tea for more than Two
The Cancer Council Australia is inviting the community to have a cuppa for cancer research during Australia's Biggest Morning Tea on Thursday 22 May.

Over 40,000 Australians will be serving 1.6 million cups of tea to family and friends in the hope of raising $6 million to support all those touched by cancer.

People can register as a host by visiting http://www.biggestmorningtea.com.au or calling 1300 65 65 85. Registered hosts will receive a colourful information kit containing morning tea ideas and materials as well as complimentary Bushells tea.

Professor Alan Coates, Chief Executive Officer, The Cancer Council Australia said, "For the past decade, fundraising through Australia's Biggest Morning Tea has helped our member organisations raise almost $25 million for cancer research. This tremendous support is providing hope for a cancer-free future for the one in three Australians affected by cancer."

"As a well-established and trusted tea brand that cares for the community, Bushells is proud to be associated with Australia's Biggest Morning Tea for the second year. Bushells has a strong Australian heritage and what's more Australian than enjoying a cuppa with friends and raising much needed funds for cancer research?" said Mark Lollback, Brand Development Director for Foods, Unilever Australasia.

The Cancer Council Australia brings together Australia's leading state and territory cancer organisations in a joint commitment to prevent and control cancer and provide support for people affected by cancer.

The Cancer Council Australia's challenge is to reduce the prevalence of cancer in our community by funding vital medical research, health education and support services for those affected by cancer, their families and carers.
