I was invited to a formal a couple of the weeks ago and it was one of my most nerve-racking experiences! I was so nervous about my dress, my hair and whether I would know anyone because my date attended a different school. I had never been to a formal before which is why I and some of the other girls I saw and spoke to found out the hard way what’s right and what’s wrong in regards to a flawless formal! Instead of letting you go through the pain from sore feet or the orange of a bad fake tan, I’m going to share my little tips with you!

Alexander McQueen, a top English fashion designer known for his amazing designs passed away on February 11th, 2010, aged 40. McQueen committed suicide at his Hyde Park home. Alexander McQueen was grieving the loss of his mother, a teacher, who passed away on the 2nd of February. 

Alexander McQueen’s designs were extraordinary which is why he was awarded the British Designer of the Year award four times. His designs were worn by international celebrities, Rihanna, Bjork and Lady Gaga wore McQueen's renowned 12-inch heels in the video for the single, Bad Romance.

I have learnt from prior bad experiences; always leave the professionals to spray tans and eyebrow waxing- or you'll be left orange, streaky and with half an eyebrow!

A new report from Datamonitor identifies that the male grooming is continuing to expand throughout Australia but the rate is expanding slower than first expected. As the women's market continues to grow the male market is being marketed differently to the female. Substantial difference are seen in the attitude towards self groming, these are extremely evident between the genders. In Australia in 2007, 840.8 million dollars was spent on male personal care market compared with 2,001.0 million dollars from the female market. The survey also showed large difference in the influence of a product. Men were influenced when choosing personal care products by price, followed closely by their preferred brand and ease of use.

There are so many different types of skin care and we have had many major changes in ingredients throughout time. Most recently skin care companies have began adding new ingredients to our wrinkle-fighting skin care range.
The new ingredients are said to be packed with nutrients which improve and accelerate tissue regeneration whilst also stimulating immunity. The wrinkle-fighting ingredients are cells from colostrum and female placentas.

Rosemount Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) Autumn/Winter as well as Transeasonal Collections ready for 2009 will be presented in a new format. Most noticeably there is no centralised venue. This is normally seen at the larger RAFW Spring Summer Collection events held in April. The RAWF 2009 Collection Schedule will coordinate a calendar of events featuring the region's leading established as well as emerging designers. The events will begin on the 13th of October and conclude on the 19th of October after a week of fabulous fashion and entertainment.

Australian kids ‘a la moda’ in Spain - It may be the home of some of the world’s best known fashion labels - Manolo Blahnik, Zara, Mango and Balenciaga- but the Spaniards are learning a thing or two about how to dress their young fashionistas from an unexpected quarter, a new store in Madrid, Australian Kids. Spain is the ninth largest market in the world and offers opportunities to a range of Australian companies.
