Children's coughs & colds?
Euky nose best!
A cold... again?!? Surely 'snot possible!!
Kids can be magnets for colds in winter - and while they can run around
distracted during the day, the challenge comes when night falls. The nose runs,
the cough settles in their chest, they toss and turn and nobody gets much sleep.
Luckily, help is at hand with natural, Australian-made Euky Bearub.
This popular chest rub with the instantly recognisable 'koala' packaging has been helping
children breathe better at night for over 35 years.
It's quick-acting formula contains pure natural Eucalyptus oil - nature's miracle ingredient
for relieving congestion - plus rosemary oil and menthol which have aromatic and
antibacterial benefits.
The gentle base locks in the therapeutic vapours and releases them slowly throughout the
night, clearing the chest, nose and lungs.
Euky Bearub is great for children of all ages, with a 'non stinging' formula that's gentle on
most sensitive skin. But big kids can benefit too, because it's just as effective for the
whole family.
Sick kids can be grumpy about medicines but Euky Bearub is different... it's a special time
with mum and dad. Time to snuggle up, have a giggle and make "Bearub time" a fun part
of the bedtime routine.
"When I am sick mummy always rubs Euky Bear into my chest to help me feel better.
Afterwards, daddy hugs me and sniffs me as if he is a big bear. I like playing this game.
It always makes me feel better." - Maisie Joy Edwards, 3, WA.
WIN! You can win a family trip for four to Dreamworld on the Gold Coast -
plus the chance to cuddle a real koala! See instore for details.
Available at pharmacies, RRP $8.95 for 50g.

Children’s Colds: Tips for Night-time Relief
Making sick children comfortable can mean the difference
between a peaceful night and a very restless one for both
the child and the parent.

Here’s a few tips from Euky Bear:
. Cover the child but ensure bedding isn’t too hot.
The body’s temperature needs to dip slightly in
order for sleep hormones to be produced.
. Make sure you own a good digital thermometer and take
a temperature reading if the child appears to have a fever
- high fevers can be an indicator of a more serious
infection needing medical attention.
. Give plenty of fluids.
. Running a steam vaporiser in the bedroom at night can
help keep the child’s airways clear by loosening phglem
and keeping the sensitive tissues of the nose and
throat moisturised.
. Inhalant containing eucalyptus oil can be added to
vaporisers to help further ease the symptoms of colds.
Or add a splash of eucalyptus oil in the bath or bottom
of the shower for a head-clearing scent.
