Lifestyle brand Cotton On Body is solving the fashion-challenge many expecting mums face by expanding its on-trend maternity range across active and sleep wear, this October.

The brand's maternity intimates capsule was so popular among mums-to-be, it sold out when launched in February, highlighting the need for more stylish maternity options.

Cotton On Body Trend Forecaster Stephanie Keen said the collection was originally created to offer maternity wear that was both practical and pretty - it's expansion has been led by the customer demand.

'We were thrilled with the response to our maternity collection and the introduction of active and sleep wear capsules has been an organic progression for the brand.

'We want to ensure our girl has the opportunity to look and feel good at every stage of her life. Pregnancy is such an exciting time – it makes sense that your clothing reflects this and is comfortable, practical and fashionable," said Keen.

Cotton On Body knows its customer lives an active life and wants to maintain movement during pregnancy. Therefore the active range includes -over and under the bump' tights, shorts, workout crops, tanks and tees, all adding a fresh sense of style to any expecting mum's active look.

The brand also has sleep covered, with the new maternity tanks, tees, nighties, gowns, shorts, harem pants and long johns to ensure maximum comfort for a great night's sleep pre and post bub's arrival.

To complement the expansion, Body has included a pretty a pretty and practical nappy bag as part of the capsule.

The collection will branch out from the original colour palette adding reds, stripes, spots and patterns to the cream, black, grey marle, peachy pinks, navy and mints of the current range.

Cotton On Body's maternity intimates will be available in selected Australian stores and the new active and sleep wear capsules will be available online at cottononbody.com from October.
