Discover your Family History at the Immigration Museum these school holidays
Learn all about the history of your family in the Immigration Museum's spring school holiday program from 20 September to 5 October 2008.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about where they come from in a special school holiday program, All About Me, using family trees, family portraits and the Museum's Origins computers. The Immigration Adventures Trail will have families exploring the Immigration Museum in a quest to look for ships, shoes and other objects.

All About Me
Who are you and where do you come from? Take part in our special school holiday activities and explore your own family history. Design your own family tree using our specially created three-dimensional template and learn more about yourself, your siblings, your parents and grandparents. Create a collage family portrait in a frame using a variety of art and craft materials.

Use the Museum's Origins computers to learn more about your own community and others from over 70 countries, and visit the Immigration Discovery Centre to find out about ships your ancestors might have travelled on to Australia.

Immigration Adventures Trail
The Immigration Adventures Trail is available as a self-guided activity for families every day of the school holidays. Collect a booklet and pencil at the front desk and explore the Immigration Museum. Look for objects, explore the replica ship and count how many shoes you can see!

The Immigration Museum is an engaging and educational experience for families and offers programs each school holidays, bringing into focus different cultural groups in accessible ways for children and families.
