Feast on your favourite foodie films with a delicious menu of award-winning documentaries in March

This March SBS On Demand, in partnership with the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF), is serving up a selection of the best food documentaries as part of online film festival Feast on Film.

Starting Tuesday 1 March and running throughout the entire month, the special season includes 10 award-winning feature documentaries, a trio of Michel Roux Jr programs, plus extra content from the most recent MIFF. Feast On Film will give audiences a behind-the-scenes look at an array of global food topics from ethical produce to what inspires the world's top culinary artists.

In Good Things Await, meet the Danish farmer who provides produce to world-famous restaurant NOMA. In Kings of Pastry, watch 16 of the world's top French pastry chefs mix, pipe and sculpt their way through the prestigious Meillueurs Ouvriers de France competition (Best Craftsman in France). Then in Slow Food Story, meet the man behind the revolutionary Slow Food movement which now has roots in more than 150 countries.

Adding to the film festival experience is online video content from the MIFF Talking Pictures panel Foodie-ism: Are we full up? with panel guests chef Shane Delia, Gelato Messina's Declan Lee, Pulitzer Prize-winning food critic Jonathan Gold (City of Gold, MIFF 2015), Dani Valent (The Age), Kate McLennan (The Katering Show) and food blogger Emily Naismith. Audiences can also watch MIFF's top selection of films from the SBS On Demand movie catalogue.

In this pop-up style online film festival, the offering of award-winning films will take audiences into the unknown realms of the global foodie phenomenon, to reveal the inspiring, surprising and thought-provoking stories within the exciting culinary world and ever-changing food culture.
