Fifty Shades Freed
Romantic, liberating and totally addictive, the Fifty Shades trilogy will obsess you, possess you and stay with you for ever.
When Ana Steele first encountered the driven, damaged entrepreneur Christian Grey, it sparked a sensual affair that changed both their lives irrevocably.
Ana always knew that loving her Fifty Shades would not be easy, and being together poses challenges neither of them had anticipated. Ana must learn to share Grey's opulent lifestyle without sacrificing her own integrity or independence; and Grey must overcome his compulsion to control and lay to rest the horrors that still haunt him.
Now, finally together, they have love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of infinite possibilities.
But just when it seems that they really do have it all, tragedy and fate combine to make Ana's worst nightmares come true
: As I began the third instalment of the twilight fan-fiction best seller, I didn't quite know what to expect. After reading the first two books, I was hesitant to read on, afraid that I may again be subjected to page after page of lustful sex scenes. I wasn't wrong. But James's third book in the trilogy has something more to it as well, proving it to be an enjoyable read that I once again, found myself unable to put down.
The book begins post wedding and includes a number of flashbacks to the time that has passed between the second and third books. Ana and Christian (Mr. and Mrs. Grey to each other) are on their honeymoon and are as in love with each other as ever.
After Christian's helicopter was compromised in the second book, the security on the whole family has been tightened and Christian is forever keeping Ana out of the loop. As they return from their honeymoon it becomes evident that there is someone after not just Christian and Ana, but their whole family.
This book begins again with the shortcomings of the first two books; there is so much repetition it becomes exasperating and time seems to pass too slowly. Eventually time begins to pass a little quicker and the characters also continue to grow and Christian and Ana finally seem able to deal with their issues through talking.
Filled with mystery and suspense this book is an excellent third instalment of these erotic novels. I was pleasantly surprised by the character development and the story left some mystery to it regardless of its fan-fiction roots. Fifty Shades Freed is a book that I recommendation, especially as the last chapter is from Christian's point of view of his and Ana's first meeting!Fiona Tew
