The Great Australian Bite 2003

The Great Australian Bite 2003 SINK YOUR TEETH INTO THE GREAT AUSTRALIAN BITE

Mark down April 2003 as a time when you can make merry AND make a difference.
For the 2nd year running The Great Australian Bite is chomping its way across the nation and Diabetes Australia is inviting everyone to join the party.

The Great Australian Bite combines two great Australian loves - hooking into some great tucker in the company of friends and helping out a worthy cause. The "bite" itself can be anything from a coffee break at work to a picnic in the park, or perhaps a BBQ - all you have to do as a host is invite guests along and ask them to make a donation to help fight diabetes.
Current research indicates that 1,040,000 people in Australia have diabetes, half of whom are not yet aware of it. As diabetes can lead to kidney failure, blindness, nerve damage, amputation, heart attack and stroke, it is vital that Diabetes Australia strives to increase awareness as well as support those that deal with the disease on a daily basis.

To register as a host just call 1-300-136-588 in your state or visit www.diabetesaustralia.com.au.
