Larry the Lawnmower LARRY THE LAWNMOWER SET TO MOW AWAY

Magna Home Entertainment is pleased to announce the acquisition of the hit Channel 7 preschool television series LARRY THE LAWNMOWER for distribution on DVD. From Ambience Entertainment, the Australian producers of children's programs Sharky's Friends, GoGo Stop and Erky Perky, LARRY THE LAWNMOWER will be released on DVD for the first time on Wednesday, 2nd December 2009.

Narrated by popular TV personality Jay Laga'aia (Play School, Water Rats, The Lion King Musical), LARRY THE LAWNMOWER is an exciting live action series that features five colourful puppets based on everyday garden tools: Larry the Lawnmower, Tangles the Hose, Wheelie the Wheelbarrow, Rosie the Rake and Flash the Spade. Set in Greenwood Gardens, Larry and his friends work, play and often get up to mischief during their fun adventures as they make make great discoveries about life, the environment, teamwork and friendship.

LARRY THE LAWNMOWER commenced broadcast on Channel 7 in December 2008 and has since established a strong fan base and audience share, regularly out-rating high-profile preschool series Hi-5! in key markets during the same timeslot. Leading Australian licensing agent Wild Pumpkin has recently been appointed to represent the brand and a licensing rollout across key categories including toys, games and publishing will begin in 2010.

The first DVD release of LARRY THE LAWNMOWER, entitled Adventures In Greenwood Gardens, will feature 15 episodes from the series and will be available through all good children's DVD retailers from 2nd December.
