To compliment the single's early success, L D R U (Drew Carmody) has released the new video for -Next To You' today. L D R U teams up with Australian fashion and music video director Chester Buchanan (Cosmo's Midnight, Basenji) and local production company Entropico for this artistic adventure.

L D R U is one of the most exciting up-and-coming Australian electronic artists and producers in the scene right now. As Drew himself describes the song, "It's feel-good and vibey... crack a beer and dream about the places and people you want to be with." It therefore comes as no surprise that he chose to work with Entropico – a local production company that creates content and ideas tailored to a digital sensibility, offbeat, energetic and relevant with their hearts and roots firmly in the electronic music scene.
Chester Buchanan's style is cinematic yet irreverent, and his films are always set in meticulous and highly stylised worlds that are uniquely Australian. 'To me, the song is about romantic adversity," says Buchanan. 'Capturing the passion was important, but as a personal rule I can never delve into a love story without adding a peculiar or unnatural hint to it. The well-worn 'elephant in the room' trope is warped in this music video, which takes form as a distorted, sexy love story with a fruity yet malicious twist."
-NEXT TO YOU' comes off the back of L D R U's certified platinum and top 15 ARIA single, -Keeping Score', which features the stunningly unique and youthful vocals of Paige IV. After his national Keeping Score Australia Tour in July, L D R U will perform at the SOLD OUT Splendour In The Grass 2016 alongside the likes of The Strokes, Flume and The Cure. Previously, L D R U has made appearances on some of Australia's leading festival line-ups including Future Music, Big Day Out and Field Day, as well as support slots for Peking Duk and triple j host Nina Las Vegas on her NLV Presents tour.
