Sarah Polley, Scott Speedman, Mark Ruffalo, Leonor Watling, Amanda Plummer Director:
Isabel Coixet Genre:
Ann (Sarah Polley) is 23, has two daughters, a husband, Don (Scott Speedman) and lives in a trailer at the back of her mothers house in Vancouver. Her grey existence is transformed however when she discovers she has an untreatable condition. Keeping this a secret, she makes a list 'Things to do before dying' which she completes little by little.
Unexpectedly, Ann discovers an appetite for life that drives her to live with a sensual and furious intensity she had not known before. She prepares her daughters life without her, meets a man (Mark Ruffalo) whom she seduces, and paradoxically heals
and faces each next day with a courage she never knew she had.
Beautifully shot by Isabel Coixet, My Life Without Me is an exquisite portrait of love and what it means to be happy.
"Produced by the studio of Pedro Almodovar, one sees the Spanish director's influence in the way Polley edges her Madonna with a touch of the reckless sensualist" LA WeeklySpecial Features:Behind the Scenes Featurette
