My Style My Ti

My Style My Ti This summer it’s my-tis all round as the hottest new accessory for chic and unique women launches a fresh new range guaranteed to heat up any girl’s style.

If you haven’t heard the name my-ti you’ve probably seen them around. Cute and quirky, it’s a little fabric visor that shades the face and ties around the back of the head. With their simple 50s inspired shape and eye-catching prints, they’re a must for any girl who knows how to enjoy herself.

Launched around six months ago by Sydney accessory label Made by Swade, the my-ti was an instant sell-out hit amongst fashionistas everywhere, with even celebrities like Kylie Minogue, Maya Jupiter and Isabel Lucas catching on to the trend.

The new summer collection reveals a 70s flavour with bold colours, paisleys and polka dots. Warning! - not recommended for anyone wanting to get lost in the crowd. With each design created with a personality in mind there’s a my-ti for every girl, whether you’re elegant or funky.

The my-ti is great protection from the hot summer sun and if you’re out and about and find the day turns into night, it can be folded up and fitted easily into even the smallest bag.

My-ti’s have come a long way from the market stall and can now be found at a handful of groovy boutiques such as Tuchuzy in Bondi and Lucid Laundry in Brisbane. The trend has even spread overseas with my-ti’s now distributed throughout the UK, Sweden and France.

Although a delicious item on a cocktail menu, the name my-ti is actually derived from the Polynesian word 'Mai Tai' meaning 'best of the best,' which is what a my-ti girl wants.

The my-ti summer 05/06 collection will be available to buy in September.
