Neon Indian Performs The Glitzy Hive

For the latest installment of Pitchfork and GoPro's GP4K series, a project established to reimagine the way GoPros are used in the context of live music, Neon Indian performs his hugely successful -VEGA INTL. Night School' album track -The Glitzy Hive'. The video comes ahead of Neon Indian's Australian tour, starting at Adelaide's brand new Fat Controller this Thursday, then funking up Disconnect and Meredith, before gracing stages along the East Coast.

Joining the godfather of chillwave will be Dance perpetrator KLP, bringing her stunning live support set to Sydney, Wollongong and Brisbane. Fresh electronic touter Wishes, whose debut track -I Want To Be Alone With You' peaked at #11 on the Spotify Viral Charts earlier this year, has also been added to the bill in Wollongong and Sydney. Carefully curated by a team of Pitchfork's directors and cinematographers the video is shot entirely on the GoPro HERO4 Black, attached to dancers and Neon Indian aka Alan Palomo to create a unique perspective. Director/editor Jim Larson shot the band performing the track with a psychedelic homage to "Soul Train" choreographed by Brooklyn-based performance duo FLUCT.

It's been a whirlwind 2015 for Neon Indian, with the release of third studio album, -VEGA INTL. Night School' to widespread critical acclaim. Lead singles -Slumlord' and -Annie' are collectively sitting on over half a million plays, with accompanying video -Slumlord Rising' viewed 120K times. The rebooted aesthetic from the band has seen them grace the stage of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon as well as embarking on a tour of the U.S. and Asia. Landing in Australia this week, the tour marks a retro celebration and unadulterated funk revival.
