CHAMOMILE

During Tudor times, poets penned burning verses while reclining on Chamomile perfumed turf. Also known as Roman Chamomile, this oil has been used for centuries in traditional European healthcare to treat nervous conditions.

Botanists often refer to Chamomile as the 'plant's physician' as it seems to promote the health of its neighbouring herbaceous companions. Chamomile is steam distilled from the flower of Anthemis nobilis.

Applications:
For teething infants and children, comforts and improves stress adaption -
For the Bath - 10 drops (1/4mL) dispersed in bath water.
For temporary relief of migraine headache, stress & tension and the relief of insomnia-
Massage: 5 drops (1/4mL) into 10mL Sunspirit carrier oil. Rub into shoulders or apply to full body before bed.


JASMINE

As Rose speaks of love, Jasmine speaks of romance. This is undeniably one of the most exquisite jewels in the Aromatherapy crown. Cleopatra reputedly seduced Mark Antony by wearing this spellbinding oil to their business meetings.The name Jasmine is derived from the Persian word 'yasmin'. The Chinese, Arabians and Indians used it medicinally, as well as for an aphrodisiac and for other ceremonial purposes.

Painstakingly extracted from the delicate white petals of the climbing creeper Jasminum officinale. Jasmine is one of the world's long lasting essences.

Applications:
For General endurance during Childbirth -
Massage: 10 drops (1/2mL) to 10mL Sunspirit carrier oil. Rub into lower back and abdomen. Do not use prior to labour.
To assist recovery after birth and for relief of Post Natal Stress -
Massage: 10 drops (1/2mL) to 10mL Sunspirit carrier oil. Apply twice daily to neck and shoulders.
For the Bath: 10 drops (1/2mL) dispersed in bathwater.

ROSE

Celebrated in legend as the blood of the Goddess of Love 'Aphrodite', Rose is gloriously intense. Its stirring perfume is known for its voluptous effect on human hearts.

The tender petals of thirty Rosa damascena flowers are distilled to produce a single drop of Rose, the world's most precious essential oil.

Applications:
For the care of Dry or Mature skin or as an Aftershaving lotion -
Direct Application: Apply neat or dilute 10 drops (1/2ml) to 10mL Sunspirit carrier oil.
For Relief of Premenstrual Symptoms and Menstrual pain -
Massage: 10 drops (1/2mL) to 10mL Sunspirit carrier oil. Rub into lower back and abdomen.
Bath: 10 drops (1/2mL) dispersed in bathwater.

Sunspirit Herbal Ointments

ARNICA

Sunspirit Arnica Ointment delivers relief to bruises, sprains, sore muscles and strains (ideally suited to active sports people).

Contains herbal extracts of Arnica montana (Arnica), Capsicum Annum (Cayenne) and essential oils of Gaultheria procumbens (Wintergreen) and Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree).

Applications:

For relief to bruises, sprains, sore muscles and strains -
Massage gently into affected area twice daily. For maximum healing effect, wrap injury in plastic cling wrap and leave overnight.


GOLDEN SEAL

Golden Seal, as its name implies, creates a seal to encourage healing of stubborn sores, minor cuts, wounds and cracked skin surfaces - hands, heels and mouth corners.

Contains herbal extracts of Hydrastis Canadensis (Golden Seal) and essential oil of Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree).

Applications:
To encourage healing to stubborn sores, minor cuts and wounds and cracked skin surfaces - hands, heels and mouth corners-
Apply to affected area twice daily. May be used with sterile non-adherent absorbent dressings.


HYPERICUM

Sunspirit Hypericum Ointment is suitable for all ages, promoting the healing of minor wounds, minor burns and sores.

Contains herbal extracts of Hypericum perforatum (St John's Wort), essential oils of Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) and Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree).

Applications:
To promote the healing of minor wounds, sores and minor burns-
For minor burns immediately apply cold for a suitable period, then apply ointment to affected area twice daily. Medical advice should be sought for the treatment of more serious burns.For minor wounds and sores apply topically to affected area. May be used with sterile non-adherent absorbent dressings.Do not use medical dressings.


THUJA

Sunspirit Thuja Ointment is the choice of herbal treatments for the management of warts, corns and calluses.
Contains herbal extract of Thuja Occidentalis (Thuja) and essential oils of Citrus limon (Lemon), Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) and Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree).

Applications:
Assist in the management of warts, corns and calluses-
