Synopsis: The Horseman is the gripping debut film of Steven Kastrissios. An actionpacked, award winning Australian thriller, featuring a range of powerhouse performances in an unflinching study of grief and retribution.

After learning of the suspicious death of his daughter, Christian (Peter Marshall) is sent a chilling video of what may have been her last hours alive. Driving through North Queensland to locate those responsible for his daughter's death, he reluctantly picks up Alice (Caroline Marohasy), an awkward young runaway, and an unlikely bond develops. As he pieces the crime together, an ugly truth is revealed. Relentless in his pursuit of revenge, Christian leaves a bloody trail of bodies as he seeks those who harmed his daughter.

This theatrical release follows a hugely successful film festival run including the Melbourne Underground Film Festival, where it won Best Film and Best Director, SXSW and a recent sold-out Sydney premiere at the A Night of Horror International Film Festival. The Horseman went on to sweep the awards, winning Best Australian Film, Best Australian Director, Best Actor for Peter Marshall's star-making performance and co-star Caroline Marohasy winning Best Actress for her debut screen performance.
