Vivid Sydney Hoodoo Gurus Shows Sold Out

The rock band's performances prove popular with Australian public

Vivid Sydney and ARIA Hall of Fame legends, the Hoodoo Gurus, have announced that the ticket allocation for the Hoodoo Gurus show Be My Guru: The Evolution Revolution on Friday 22 May and Saturday 23 May is now exhausted.

Performing as part of the Vivid Music program, The Hoodoo Gurus will be bringing the past 30+ years of the band to the stage at the established Powerhouse Museum.

Founding Hoodoo Guru and Australian musical legend, Dave Faulkner, said: 'We're thrilled to be a part of this year's Vivid Sydney festival. One of our first gigs in the Hoodoo Gurus was at the Australian Museum on William Street so it's fitting that we celebrate 30 years of Hoodoo Gurus evolution with the Be My Guru concerts at another important Sydney museum, The Powerhouse. During that time we've crawled out of the primordial ooze and become a part of Australian culture. Living history or re-living history - either way we belong in a museum!"

The Vivid Music program is a key part of Vivid Sydney, which is owned and managed by Destination NSW, the NSW Government's tourism and major events agency. The world's largest festival of light, music and ideas will take over Sydney for 18 nights from 22 May until 8 June.

Destination NSW CEO Sandra Chipchase said: 'With the Vivid Music program proving to be so popular, I urge all music lovers to book their gig tickets and visit to Sydney now at www.vividsydney.com/music."

Whilst tickets to the Hoodoo Gurus are exhausted, music lovers can still see a huge range of gigs all over the city, including Goodgod Small Club, Oxford Art Factory, Freda's, The Basement, The Argyle and Spice Cellar.
