Close Counters Picture Me Tour

After an incredibly busy and successful past year, the fresh faced duo from Close Counters are all set to release their new track ‘Picture Me’ off of their second EP and it promises to be an absolute banger! Inspired by the likes of Disclosure, Flying Lotus and Jamiroquai, the pair have combined elements of synth-funk and house to create a dance-floor worthy track featuring Hobart musicians DJ Grotesque on turntables and vocals from art-pop singer BINI.'

Emerging from the depths of Tasmania are Allan McConnell (20) and Finn Rees (18) who are known for their electrifying fusion of electronic, trip-hop and jazz. The two met only a few years back in 2013 and it was there that something struck a chord. Since their recent beginnings, Close Counters have supported the likes of The Kite String Tangle, The Aston Shuffle, Tkay Maidza and Shaggy. Their first single ‘Fluctuate’ was named Track of the Day on international music blog Indie Shuffle, and the track’s music video was aired on ABC TV’s RAGE program. Close Counters have had play on American Radio, lead the Purple Sneakers Alice Underground Party with their “Synth-gasm worthy harmonies” and capped the year off playing Falls Festival.

It’s safe to say 2016 is set to be a big year for the young music duo who have commenced working on their forthcoming EP. The EP will feature artists such as Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire and UK based artist Max Marshall. ‘Picture Me’ is the first track off of their second EP and there is no denying it’s a “Straight up party tune from the word go” – Veronica Milsom.

The Bennies 2016 National Tour

Welcome to the Wisdom Machine: a journey into the mind of The Bennies.

The highly anticipated follow up to 2013’s Rainbows In Space, Wisdom Machine is 11 tracks of fuel for the soul.

Recorded at Holes And Corners in South Melbourne with Sam Johnson and released through Poison City Records, the album is spearheaded by ‘Party Machine’, a song that almost wasn’t to be. Written three days before the band entered the studio and inspired by their time at Psyfari – a trance camping festival three hours out of Sydney, the “disgusting-party-banger,” as singer Anty Horgan jokingly puts it, became an instant fan favourite. Added straight to triple j rotation, the band toured the single across the country selling out shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns, Darwin and their hometown of Melbourne.

Millencolin True Brew Tour

With eight timeless punk rock albums and over 20 years of high intensity touring under their belt, Millencolin has come to help shape the skate punk sound that inspired them from the start.

Millencolin fans are always waging wars, pitting so many of their brilliant records against each other to see which comes out the victor. It’s a war that never will be won considering they are always shaking up their modus operandi and playing outside their comfort zone. The one consolation fans can take when the band tour here this April is that Millencolin will be playing an arsenal of hits from across their massive catalogue.

Booking:moshtix.com.au and at the gate during the festival

NT’s Barunga Festival is very proud and excited to announce its initial music lineup for 2016, complementing the theme ‘Celebrating Women’.

Heading up the 2016 performers is Courtney Barnett, who will perform a very special set with acclaimed singer songwriter Jen Cloher.

Sydney’s premier entertainment destination, The Star is delighted to announce superstar Tom Jones will perform live in concert in the intimate setting of The Star Event Centre on Monday, 21 March 2016.

The Bluesfest headliner has extended his 2016 Australian tour to take in a further five headline shows, including one intimate Sydney show in the award-winning Event Centre, located on the rooftop of The Star.

Over his 50 year career, Tom Jones has sold more than 100 million records, won a Grammy and two Brit Awards and given us countless hits including; ‘It's Not Unusual’, ‘Delilah’, ‘Green, Green Grass of Home’, ‘Kiss’, ‘If I Only Knew’, ‘Mama Told Me’, ‘Burning Down The House’ and ‘Sex Bomb’.

His career has remarkably gone from strength to strength. Along with sustaining his popularity as a live performer and recording artist for five decades, he has garnered - at the age of 75 - the best reviews of his career for his two most recent albums Spirit In The Room and Praise & Blame.

The Star, Managing Director, Greg Hawkins said: “We are excited to present a special one-night-only experience by megastar Sir Tom Jones in the intimate setting of The Star Event Centre, utilising world-class technical and audio visual facilities.”

His irresistible show traverses musical eras and genres, cuts across class divides and appeals to young and old, male and female, mainstream and cutting edge.

N’fa Jones Touring with Remi

Booking:Nfajones.com

The first taste for 2014 of N’fa Jones forthcoming album Black + White Noise is ‘Money Better Come’. The title of the track speaks for itlself. ‘Money Better Come’ is a Styalz Fuego production with Kaylen Behr featuring on the chorus giving it that good ol’ fashion Summer vibe we all need.

Summing up the way N’fa Jones often feels the life of an artist plays out, the track comes with fun and clever video clip directed by Nic McRobbie. While reflecting on the fragility of life, N’fa still manages to poke a bit of fun at himself, while singing (yep singing) melodies, telling an honest story, and of course kickin a rapped verse to keep the Hip Hop alive.

Get a taste for it while N’fa is on national tour with fellow House of Beige family member and triple j Unearthed winner Remi through February.
