The Rumjacks appearing at Bigsound 2015
|Date:||Thursday 10 September|
|Time:||11:20PM – 11:50PM|
Sydney folk-punk band The Rumjacks, fresh from a hugely successful debut overseas tour, is primed to return to Australia next month for an exclusive one-off performance at Bigsound Live.
The band is currently blitzing the UK/European touring circuit, hitting Germany and Denmark this week for live shows in support of their second album, ‘Sober & Godless’. They’ve already played to more than 50,000 fans in the Northern Hemisphere over the last three months with a series of sold out shows and headline performances.
Such is The Rumjacks’ international reach that they’re now ranked as #4 band on Spotify outside of Australia, and the music video for their track ‘An Irish Pub Song’ has hit 11.4 million views on YouTube.
The new album ‘Sober & Godless’, produced by Steve James (Thin Lizzy, The Jam, The Screaming Jets), has spawned two singles, ‘Blows & Unkind Words’ and ‘Plenty’. It took the band right across Australia on tour earlier this year, gigging from Brisbane to Ballarat to Bunbury and everywhere in between!
Lead singer Frankie McLaughlin said today, "Europe has been so ridiculously good to us on this tour that I fear if we don’t leave soon, we'll be spoiled rotten & lose our edge. Bigsound is one hell of a reason to come home and we're looking very much forward to it,.. see you soon Australia!".

Live (supported by Chocolate Starfish)
|Date:||Thursday, 19th November|
Live are headlining a ‘’one off’’ show in Melbourne and this is the first time Australian audiences will be introduced to new frontman, Chris Shinn, who joined the band in 2012. According to critics in the US, Chris has been a welcome replacement, in a band that dominated the charts and packed out arenas around the world.
Says Shinn of Live’s pending visit “Australia has been at the top of our list since I joined Līve. This will be my first trip there and to say I'm excited would be a huge understatement. The bands history with Australia is legendary. Getting to reconnect with that is going to be epic!"
Live achieved worldwide success with their 1994 album, Throwing Copper, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and eventually surpassed sales of 10 million in merely two years. Rolling Stone and MTV both dubbed the album "one of the 25 Greatest Rock Albums of All-Time", while taste makers from Spin to The New York Times lauded it with equal praise. They have since gone on to sell over 22 million albums worldwide and Live has been and remains today a global concert juggernaut.
Their latest album, The Turn, marks the band’s ninth studio album and original members, Chad Taylor (Guitar & Backing Vocals), Patrick Dahlheimer (Bass & Percussion), Chad Gracey (Drums & Percussion), who are joined by Chris Shinn (Lead Vocals & Guitar), have re-invigorated its sound with effusive energy and massive hooks.

Dave Mason, Sean Kelly, Rob Snarski & Brendan Gallagher
Australian music legends; awe-inspiring songwriting prowess; emotionally naked performances; merged with the realm of arcana - inspiration, mystery… a secret knowledge… yet warmly inviting. Storytelling at its best. Acoustic, yes… this is music raw, open and honest; but is it Americana? - Clearly not. These are artists born of red dust and weaned at the knee of Dame Edna. Dreams of suburbia born of the realities of St. Kilda and the Cross permeate the dreamscape of these master songcraftsmen rendering the Australian experience as real – angry, tender, bleak and yet familiar… comfortable… home.

Live at the Foreshore
|Date:||November 1st, 2015|
In the 1980's, Newcastle was woven together with a solid live rock music scene and sun drenched weekends at the beach. In recent years the culinary revolution added to that fabric. Our streets and alley way filled with hole in the wall speakeasies and small niche restaurants where everything is about quality and their own sense of style. No wonder we were voted one of Lonely Planets top 10 cities in the world. Finally all those elements will converging in one place when LIVE AT THE FORESHORE bring your best music memories to Camp Shortland on November 1.
7 iconic acts will make up an Aussie rock invasion, storming one of Newcastle most popular beaches. The line up includes James Reyne, Baby Animals, Mark Seymour and the undertow, Shannon Noll, Moving Pictures, Choirboys and Monsters of Rock featuring members of Screaming Jets and Rose Tattoo.

"We’re aware that a good number of our Melbourne fans missed out on tickets or couldn't afford to make the journey up to New South Wales for ABGT150,” says Above & Beyond’s Paavo Siljamäki, "and since New Year’s Day at the Sydney Myer Music Bowl was one of our favourite shows of the year, we decided to check with the venue to see if it was available on Friday September 25th. I'm delighted to say that it is available, so we have booked it for a special ‘We Are All We Need’ album show, the night before ABGT150.”

N’fa Jones Touring with Remi
The first taste for 2014 of N’fa Jones forthcoming album Black + White Noise is ‘Money Better Come’. The title of the track speaks for itlself. ‘Money Better Come’ is a Styalz Fuego production with Kaylen Behr featuring on the chorus giving it that good ol’ fashion Summer vibe we all need.
Summing up the way N’fa Jones often feels the life of an artist plays out, the track comes with fun and clever video clip directed by Nic McRobbie. While reflecting on the fragility of life, N’fa still manages to poke a bit of fun at himself, while singing (yep singing) melodies, telling an honest story, and of course kickin a rapped verse to keep the Hip Hop alive.
Get a taste for it while N’fa is on national tour with fellow House of Beige family member and triple j Unearthed winner Remi through February.

The Superjesus 2014 Tour Dates
Respected Aussie rock outfit The Superjesus is hitting the road for the Australia Day long weekend, celebrating in fine style with three live shows. They’ll kick off on 24th January at Waves Wollongong, then head to Bateau Bay Hotel on the 25th, with a massive Australia Day gig on 26th January at Garrison Point, Bankstown.
Following their successful ‘Reformation’ tour earlier this year, which saw the band playing live for the first time in ten years, The Superjesus has been working on new material and are looking forward to road testing it on their fans, with further live dates to come.
The Superjesus rose to prominence in Adelaide in 1994, and was eagerly embraced for their electrifying live shows, spearheaded by charismatic front woman, Sarah McLeod. They were quick to find support from national broadcaster Triple J and were on their way, enjoying multiplatinum album success with Sumo, Jetage and Rock Music and delivering hit singles such as ‘Gravity’, ‘Secret Agent Man’, ‘Shut My Eyes’ and ‘Down Again’.
