The Wiggles win ARIA Award!
ABC Music is delighted to advise that the Label picked up the ARIA Award for
Best Children’s Album at the ARIA Awards gala event held in Sydney.
The fab four of the toddler set, The Wiggles, were announced as winners of the Best
Children’s Release for their album LIVE HOT POTATOES! at this year's ARIA Awards. Now
with 4 ARIA music awards, 4 APRA awards and an ARIA Outstanding Achievement Award for
international success, the Wiggles are the most successful children's group in the world. See
and hear why performers such as Robert De Niro, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Sarah Jessica
Parker and Matthew Broderick have taken their children to a WIGGLES concert; they’re the
original and best in children's entertainment!
All four Wiggles were in attendance and a shocked and elated Murray Cook spoke on behalf of
the group saying how absolutely delighted they were with the win. "It was a real thrill winning
the ARIA Award last night. It has been a while since we won and we were excited to be
honoured. It was a great night and we enjoyed sharing the room with so many talented
people" Murray said. The guys are flying to the US this week for another sold out East Coast
tour which will include 9 sold out shows at New York’s Madison Square Gardens.
