Review: Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes is well balanced between an engaging story and stunning graphics.

This movie made me contemplate how similar we really are with the rest of the animal kingdom, and how our actions, however small, impact the future.

Without giving too much of the story away, as a prequel I believe this was easy to follow even for people who have not seen the original, and sets the scene for the previous movie.

Showing the apes having similar mannerisms, law, believes, quarrels and feelings make you think of an educated early man, and really makes you want the apes to win over humanity.

The ending to the movie really complements the setting of the film and my personal feelings towards the apes by showing you the similarities between the species.
