DR SALLY COCKBURN

Dr Feelgood is Dr Sally Cockburn, one of Australia's leading health communicators.
A graduate of Monash Medical school with nearly 20 years clinical experience as a medical practitioner and more than 10 years as a media presenter on TV and radio, she is well equipped to speak on all aspects of health in an entertaining way.


Her six years as host of the top rating national radio talk-back sex and relationships program 'Pillowtalk', gathered her a loyal following
throughout Australia due to her practical advice on matters of the heart and body.

She has recently started back on radio with a new national weekend health and lifestyle program and this is once again proving to be extremely popular and a trusted source of health information.

Sally has been a senior lecturer at Monash University Medical School and taught communication skills and medical jouralism to
medical students. She also currently works part-time in General Practice in suburban Melbourne.

Dr Feelgood has hosted her own national TV talk show with the Seven network and presented a weekly medical segment on Good Morning Australia with Bert Newton on Channel 10 for nine years. She currently hosts her own TV show "Your Health with Dr Feelgood" on Melbourne's newest TV station, renaissance television. She also appears weekly as medical presenter on the top rating Neil Mitchell radio program on Melbourne's 3AW.

She has been the recipient of an MBF award for excellence in health journalism for radio in 1996 and the Radio Industry's "Raward" for Best Australian Radio Documentary in 1999. She is the author of bestseller list book 'Dr Feelgood's thoughts on sex and relationships' and has written regular columns for magazines such as New Idea and New Woman.

Dr Feelgood is the immediate past Chairman of the Variety Club of Victoria, a patron of the Royal District Nursing Service and of the Southern Mental Health Association. She has served as a member of the Committee of Management of the Metropolitan Ambulance Service since 1997 and has just been appointed again as an Australia Day Ambassador for 2003.

Her plain English approach to health matters has made her a sought after speaker, and she is regularly found speaking at conferences and seminars throughout Australia.

She also has a keen interest in the Internet, particularly web design and the development of responsible health sites.
