So while it's been a long time in the making, I hope for all those that are fans of my music we live up to your expectations, and between us all, we have a great tour. Here's to March 2018!" – Gilbert O'Sullivan

Gilbert O'Sullivan is best known worldwide for his hit singles Alone Again (Naturally), Clair and Get Down – all released in the early -70s and still heard on radio to this day.

-Nothing Rhymed' Gilbert's first single was released in 1970 and was an instant hit in the UK, reaching the Top 10 on the UK charts. In 1972 Gilbert firmly cemented himself amongst the world's best with his second album -Alone Again (Naturally)'. This critically acclaimed album topped both the UK & US charts for an astonishing 6-weeks, earning him 3 Grammy nominations.

British recognition soon followed with -Clair' & -Get Down' reaching the summit of the UK singles charts and his LP -Back To Front' topping the album charts. In the same year at the 18th Ivor Novello Awards (UK awards for songwriting and composing) Gilbert was named -Song Writer of the Year'. -Why Oh Why Oh Why' became another Top-Ten chart hit and Gilbert went on a sold out tour of the UK and US

Gilbert hit the heights of his career in the 70s but has never been far from the recording studio. He welcomed the 80s with another hit single – What's In A Kiss? – a Top 10 hit in Ireland and Top 20 in the UK and US.

In 1990 Gilbert was part of a landmark case that changed artists ability to sample and use other artists music and set the precedent on artist copyright of their music. Gilbert successfully sued rapper Biz Markie who had sampled his song Alone Again (Naturally) and won 100% of the royalties.

The 2000s have seen Gilbert enjoying a renewed interest in his music with artists such as Neil Diamond, Dianna Krall and Michael Buble releasing cover versions of his songs. Gilbert has also found a renewed love for touring. He toured across the UK and Ireland in 2015 and 2016.

2017 began his 50th anniversary in music celebrations with a solo performance at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool and soon after was awarded a brick on The Cavern Wall Of Fame. He has once again toured Ireland, which included a sold-out performance with the 30-piece RTE Radio Orchestra at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin. He recently completed a sold out 14-date UK tour March and dates in Asia and Europe.

In September 2017 Gilbert was chosen to perform at BBC Radio 2 Proms In The Park at Hyde Park, London to a crowd of 50,000 people. He performed alongside Sir Ray Davies, Texas, Steps and many more.
