Synopsis: Master Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike's Hara-Kiri was the first 3D film to be shown In Competition at Cannes. A tale of revenge, honour and disgrace centring on a samurai warrior (leading Kabuki star Ebizo Ichikawa), who seeks entry to the estate of a feudal lord (Koji Yakusho) to discover the tragic fate of his ronin son-in-law (played by Eita), setting in motion a tense showdown of vengeance.
