Australians' diet habits spiral in search of energy hit

What are survey results?
According to a new survey entitled The Australian Women's Energy Study 20011, two out of every three Australian women over 30 years of age believe their lives are so busy they are unable to fit everything into their schedule. This figure is even more resounding among women in full time employment, with 9 out of 10 feeling anxious by the hectic nature of their lives.

The new research also shows one in three women over 30 overload themselves on a daily basis trying to fit too many activities into each day.

Of particular concern is that despite the latest National Nutrition Survey recommendation to avoid eating foods rich in sugar and fats2, the majority of respondents will first reach for an unhealthy 'pick me up' such as chocolate or coffee to combat the effects of their hectic lives.

Charlotte Dawson's view on a healthy lifestyle Celebrity Charlotte Dawson leads a hectic lifestyle with media appearances on GMA and Beauty and the Beast. This coupled with her rigorous exercise regime and busy social schedule means Charlotte identifies strongly with these research results.

"While I try to steer myself towards healthier options, I recognise how tempting it can be to reach for a quick sugar or caffeine boost in an attempt to overcome feelings of lethargy and stress.

What is Lipovitan?
"What many women don't know is that Lipovitan, a healthier drink option, offering the right balance of nutrients to assist in dealing with fatigue and stress, is now available. The good news is that while I find Lipovitan really picks me up, it only has half the caffeine of a cup of coffee," Charlotte said.

How does it work?
Known as a bio-energiser, Lipovitan is a scientifically formulated drink containing the essential B group of vitamins B1, B2, B3 B6. One of the best ways to keep up with the pace of modern life is to ensure the diet includes sources of vitamin B. As the B group of vitamins are water soluble, they are not stored in the body and must be replaced each day. The first scientific study3 to document the effect of vitamin B on stress has shown a dramatic reduction in stress symptoms, such as headache and fatigue. Patients taking the B group of vitamins found their moods were better and they were more active after just four weeks.

Commenting on the product further, Charlotte said Lipovitan is an accessible, healthier alternative that increases energy levels and revitalises the body compared to the regular quick fix substitutes that create that 'crash and burn' affect.

"Given that three quarters of respondents in the research study said they would look for a convenient way of getting good, healthy energy, rather than a quick fix, Lipovitan can only be a favourable solution to the problem.
"I'm a strong advocate that just five minutes a day - the time it takes to have a break and grab a healthier drink like Lipovitan - could make the difference to people feeling tired and stressed. "In order to maintain a healthier lifestyle and keep energy levels at their maximum, I would strongly recommend a healthy balanced diet combined with adequate sleep and exercise," Charlotte concluded.
