Lizotte's Newcastle Wins Best Entertainment Restaurant

The Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering HOSTPLUS National Awards for Excellence were are held in October at Luna Park in Sydney. Lizotte's are thrilled to announce that Live n Cookin at Lizottes's Newcastle won Best Entertainment Restaurant in Australia. Lizotte's Dee Why, located on Pittwater Road, was also one of the finalists.

When owners Brian and Jo Lizotte took the keys to Lizotte's Newcastle in 2009, they had under a month to get the shell of this gorgeous, 100 year old theatre ready for opening night. A dedicated team of staff worked around the clock to transform the venue and on June 2 a red carpet launch saw Diesel, Beccy Cole, Deni Hines play to a packed house. The crowd also got a treat when 2 generations of the very talented Lizotte's family, including Brian, brother Mark and their dad Hank took the stage to perform.

From the very first day the doors opened, Newcastle has welcomed Lizotte's with open arms and Brian and Jo were over whelmed with the interest and support shown by the local community as well as the hoards of extremely talented local musicians who have supported major artists and made two of Brian's passion projects 'Live and Local' and 'The School Showcases', both of which highlight emerging artists, such a success.

The multi award winning venues including Dee Why, Newcastle and the Central Coast, owned by Brian and Jo Lizotte, attract both international and Australian artists to play in the unique and intimate space that has become the couples trademark. With spectacular menus and fantastic staff, Brian and Jo have certainly filled a hole in the market place. 'We wanted to create a venue where we would like to go' says Brian Lizotte. 'Where the focus is on great food, good service and highlighting some of the spectacular performers this country has to offer. We are just thrilled that people who come and spend the night with us, enjoy the atmosphere, quality food and the talent as much as we do'

All three Lizotte's venues are open anywhere between 4 and 7 nights a weeks and showcases top Australian Artists like Jon Stevens, Jimmy Barnes, Diesel, Julia Morris and Phil Jamieson.
