This 1987 film release is cleverly orchestrated 'battle of the sexes' film. Ann Magnuson plays a marketing extraordinaire who is hired robots company to market an almost human android. The mission is to make the android popular enough that the government will consider him for a 10 year deep space mission.

The robot is created by an antisocial nerd scientist (John Malkovich) in his own image causing confusion and a little chaos. Easily adapted, the robot quickly becomes the ideal mate for any woman, sensitive, caring, eager to please and willing to listen. This leads Magnuson, who is repelled by the creator, to fall for the creation--but what do you do when you fall in love with a man-made man?
