Independent, single mother Donna (Meryl Streep) is preparing for the wedding of her spirited daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) at her idyllic Island hotel in Greece. While Donna has invited her two lifelong friends, Rosie (Julie Walters) and Tanya (Christine Baranski) Sophie has invited three special guests of her own. After reading her mother's diary Sophie discovers that she has three possible fathers and has now secretly invited all three men, Bill (Stellan Skarsgard), Sam (Pierce Brosnan) and Harry (Colin Firth) to her wedding in a desperate bid to discover which of them is her father before the wedding bells start to chime!

But not all goes according to plan: old loves are re-kindled, new loves are formed and Sophie risks everything to discover the true identity of her father.

If you didn't get a chance to see this live, you must get a copy on DVD. Undoubtably the most memorable musical story to date, Mamma Mia on DVD is a real treat, combining exceptionally talented actors with the musical genius of ABBA's Benny Andersson & Bjorn Ulvaeus. This clever musical story, turns some of the most famous and beloved songs of all time into a movie that will love in your heart.

With so many outstanding performances within an amazing cast, this movie is for everyone! Even if you don't think you like musicals.....Meryl Streep, a pure professional and exceptional actor and singing talent will blow you away. While the Amanda Seyfried (Sophie) shows us what exceptional talent we have to look forward to in coming years. But I'd have to say that my favourites were Julie Walters (Rosie) and Christine Baranski (Tanya), whose comic character edge through song was memorable.

A feelgood movie with charm & spunk that you will want to play again again to bring out your inner dancing queen....

Own it and have it ready next time the girls come round.
