Natural Mineral Make Up

There are so many benefits to using Natural Mineral Make Up, that it's no surprise it's one of the largest growing industries. With modern light technologies ensuring a seemingly endless range of colours and hues, Natural Mineral Make Up is now becoming very popular.

Natural Mineral Make Up is naturally good for our skin; it is naturally enriched with anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, non-comedogenic and sun protection properties. In fact it is the only make up that has been recommended for use after face procedures such as chemical peels or laser re-surfacing.

Sufferers of acne, rosecea and scaring may use mineral make ups safely and relax in the knowledge that it will not worsen your condition.

However ... there is always an however. We need to be vigilant when looking to purchase natural mineral make up, because all natural mineral cosmetics were not created equally.

A good natural mineral make up is made up primarily of 4 key ingredients: Mica, Titanium dioxide, zinc oxide and iron oxides. Many natural mineral makeup's include bismuth oxycholoride as a base ingredient. I do not recommend the use of bismuth oxycholoride. Other ingredients to watch for include talc, parabens and petrochemicals such as propylene glycol.

Usually Natural Mineral Make up contains a mixture of four ingredients (Mica, Titanium dioxide, zinc oxide and iron oxides) sometimes they will also include other natural products such as Aloe Vera, Rosehip Oil or Organic Olive Oil. When buying Natural Mineral make up, take a look at its ingredients. If the ingredients list is full of chemicals then it is not Natural Mineral make up.

The Natural Mineral Make Up Range

Over recent years the range of Natural Mineral Make Up products has expanded great. Now you can get foundation, blush, concealer, eye shadow, mascara, lip stick, and many more. What's even better is that range of beautiful colours has also expanded.

Simple Steps to applying Natural Mineral Make Up

Now you have your ideal Natural Mineral Make Up it is time to apply it:
1. Begin with a clean face, for best results use a natural and organic cleanser, toner and moisturiser to suit your skin type.
2. To disguise blemishes or red marks use a concealer a shade lighter than your natural skin tone. Apply with a lip brush or your ring finger.
3. Select a good quality kabuki brush and dip and swirl in your mineral make up to get good coverage on the tip of the brush. Gently tap any excess into a tissue or the lid of your make up container.
4. Apply in a circular motion to your face, throat and décolleté to balance the look. Rub your kabuki brush in a tissue to get rid of any excess foundation.
5. Select a bronzing dust or illuminiser that closely matches your natural summer tan. Evenly swirl your kabuki brush in bronzer and tap of any excess.
6. Using very light strokes, apply your bronzer to your forehead working down the nose.
7. Also apply along the apple of your cheek in a line from the outer corner of your eye to the outer corner of your lip.
8. Build up colour gradually.
9. Choose a good mascara and apply to both upper and lower lid.
10. Select a lip gloss and apply along the natural shape of your lips
