Season 1 of Nip Tuck is a disturbingly perfect drama.

Beauty the saying goes, is only skin deep. The beauty of Nip/Tuck is that it goes deeper, laying bare the complexities and fragile natures often found in patients seeking cosmetic surgery. Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon portray hotshot Miami South Beach plastic surgeons who are themselves in full-blown midlife crises as they confront career, family and romance problems. The series' cutting-edge stories range from funny to suspenseful to uncommonly powerful. The surgeries are graphically bold. The sexuality is rampant. Presented here in 13 first-season episodes on 5 discs and featuring compelling extras, the highly praised Nip/Tuck is a prescription for entertainment unlike anything you've ever seen.

    Review:
A drama with a difference, Nip/Tuck, portrays the turbulent lives of two high-priced and of course handsome Miami plastic surgeons. Combining the emotional with body modifications, Nip/Tuck gives a realistic look into the cosmetic surgery industry, maybe too realistic. Dylan Walsh & Julian McMahon play mismatched surgery partners with serious underlying problems of their own. Some scenes are a bit gross and more disturbing than CSI, but they add a realistic touch to the series.

This is show is real life drama at its best. The stories are compelling and the surgeries are very graphic. Julian McMahon plays the perfect bad boy and him along with Dylan Walsh transform through the series. They go from one extreme to the other and back again and they manage to somehow take the audience with them. Each episode within the series brings something new that we the audience have not seen before, the stories are all very real and sometimes it is hard to imagine that some of the things that happen in this show do happen in real life. This is not a family show and it is not suggested for the faint hearted but if you are in the mood for a real good show and prepared to go all the way then this is definantly the series for you.
