NOT MEETING MR RIGHT, THE SENSATIONAL NEW NOVEL FROM RENOWNED AUTHOR ANITA HEISS IS GREAT AUSSIE CHICK LIT, FULL OF SASS, SEXINESS AND SINGLE-GIRL ADVENTURES.

Alice Aigner is successful, independent and a confirmed serial dater - but at her ten-year school reunion she has a sudden change of heart. Bored rigid by her married, mortgaged and motherly former classmates, Alice decides to prove that a woman can have it all: a man, marriage, career, kids and a mind to call her own.

"I am deadly, desirable and delicious!" becomes her mantra and she sets herself a goal: to meet the perfect man and marry him before her thirtieth birthday, just under two years away. Together with her group of close-knit friends, Alice draws up a ten-point plan over cocktails. Then, with a little help from her mother, colleagues and her neighbour across the hall, she determinedly sets out to find Mr Right, setting up as many dates as possible to maximise the odds. Unfortunately for Alice, the road to true love is full of twists and turns .....

Youre guaranteed to fall for our spirited, fun-loving and sexy Koori heroine as she dates, among others: Renan, whose life goal is to be the worlds best moonwalker and male hula dancer; Tufu, the commitment-phobic Samoan football player; Simon, the one-night stand with the most putrid house imaginable, and Paul - Alices Mr Dreamboat, but is he perhaps too good to be true? Meanwhile, Alice skilfully avoids dating Cliff, the son of her mums friend, a confirmed bachelor and hairstylist who isnt likely to settle down with a woman anytime soon.

FROM ANITA HEISS - WHY I WROTE NOT MEETING MR RIGHT
"As a Koori woman living in Sydney, home to the largest gay population in the world, finding a man to marry - black or white - was always going to be a challenge. After a decade of dates from hell, the challenge was well and truly set, but analysing and researching that challenge was fun! And exciting! It also gave me lots of material for a book that I know single women the country over will relate to, as well as women who have ever been on the hunt for a good man! I have written and published about the politics of identity, the Stolen Generations and Indigenous issues generally. But I also want to write with humour and make people laugh. And sometimes, I just want lie on the beach, read, escape, and smile, so I wrote a book that Id like to read, in the hope that women everywhere will chuckle and nod in agreement over how very hard it can be to meet a decent man!"
