Rainforest2Reef Campaign

Rainforest2Reef Campaign

Rainforest Rescue and The Great Barrier Reef Legacy has partnered with BioPak recyclable cups to support the Rainforest2Reef Campaign. Each time you buy a coffee from your local café the cups will feature a limited edition image of the threatened Great Barrier Reef or Daintree Rainforest. Hundreds of cafes nationwide are taking part (let me know if you want a list!).

Rainforest Rescue is asking people to take snaps of the cups and post to instagram with the hashtag #rainforest2reef and BioPack will donate $1 for every post. They also donate 1% of all profits and have helped plant 9,000 trees and purchases three hectares of unprotected rainforest.

The Daintree Rainforest is one of the most ancient rainforests in the world (over 135million years old!) and not all of it in Far North Queensland is protected. Currently there are 175 unprotected rainforest properties that are unprotected, Rainforest Rescue has saved 30 and wants your help saving more! All you have to do is post a pic on Intagram with #rainforest2reef to help.

Local artist David has painted a limited edition image of the fragile Great Barrier Reef on a cup which are available at cafes nationally. He has painted a part of the fragile, precious and threatened Great Barrier Reef to help raise awareness for its protection. Sadly this part of the reef has suffered from coral bleaching. It would be great to get your support by getting peole to take a pic. Each designed cup tells a different story.
