Sleep is the new single from Romy - the new project for Australian songwriter, producer and performer, Romy Hoffman, who previously recorded under the Macromantics moniker.

She's spent 2009 writing recording and producing dance tunes for 2010. Composing and translating the sounds, the thoughts and songs rattling around her brain in a small apartment in Melbourne, Sleep was eventually recorded with Scott Horscroft at BJB Studio in Sydney. It's a slinky danceable pop song with all the darkness and light of a good night out.

For the debut release of this new sound, we asked DFA's Juan Maclean to remix the track, who of course came through with a banging house tune sure to keep kids up way past their bedtime.

We also invited friends Mikey and Max from Melbourne production duo Brain Children to make their very own version of Sleep, and they created the warmest, prettiest, most blissed out minimal remix we could have hoped for.
