Sky High Mount Dandenong Restaurant

Sky High Mount Dandenong Restaurant
How do you make a Melbourne icon even more exciting?
Start with the most spectacular views of Melbourne and its surrounds and add the passionate vision of a local businessman, a $4 million make-over and even more reasons to visit what has already been one of Victoria's top 2 tourist attractions.

The result is SkyHigh Mount Dandenong.

Since the well-known and beloved SkyHigh Restaurant closed down over eight years ago, the site was left to languish, unloved and unwanted. That all changed in June, 2004, when Melbourne businessman Mr John Connellan signed a lease with Parks Victoria and began fulfilling his vision - to create a world-class tourist attraction and function centre.

First established as a survey point in 1861, this historic area has since undergone a lavish, yet sympathetic development, to give the estimated 650,000 annual visitors more to do and greater access to the stunning views that sweep across Mornington Peninsula and Port Phillip Bay, to the You Yangs on the Southern horizon.

With improved car-park facilities, disabled access, barbecues and picnic areas, viewing platforms, magnificent gardens and walks, a souvenir/gift shop, the brand new SkyHigh Maze- scheduled to open late 2005 and a contemporary café/family bistro, SkyHigh Mount Dandenong, at the doorstep of unspoiled state forest, has something for everyone - day, or night. After sunset, the twinkle of stars is imitated below by a spectacular carpet of city lights.

Although it is less than an hour from the Melbourne CBD, SkyHigh Mount Dandenong is a million miles from the hustle and bustle - the perfect spot for that family occasion, or more intimate romantic interlude.

And with all that romance in the air, SkyHigh Mount Dandenong also offers the perfect spot for a dream wedding day. At SkyHigh Mount Dandenong, with the stars above and the city below, the stage is set for a reception made in Heaven. With over 80 staff, SkyHigh Mount Dandenong is one of the biggest tourism employers in the area, and one of this nation's must-see attractions.
