Q. How do I tap into my spirituality more? I think I might have a "gift" but I don't know how to harness it or make it stronger.

Dear Curious,

To tap into your spirituality more, you need to try and recognise what thought patterns occur when you are with other people, especially friends, because you will already feel more comfortable with them.

For example, do you somehow know even when your friends don't show or express to you that they are stressed out? Have you ever told them something and they have remarked, "How did you know that?"

There are tools that can be used such as tarot or spiritual, fairy or animal cards, stones, crystals and books.

Everybody has a gift and you would certainly have one. Why not try visiting a new age shop and just wander around slowly. You will more than likely find certain things that almost compel you to pick them up. Take notice of that compulsive impulse and then ask yourself "is this for me?" Wait a few seconds and you will get a feeling that you are really comfortable with. If it feels right, it's for you.

Harnessing your intuition by recognising those feelings and asking your guardian angel to assist, help and protect you, will help you become stronger.


Q. I have been dreaming about things at night - things like people are talking to me and also that people are telling me things to do and what not to do. The people who are giving me instructions are not people I know or recognize and I can never remember what they look like when I wake up.

Is it possible these people are my guides or guardian angels? I get nervous going to sleep because I am wondering what or who they are. They don't say anything terrible and I don't feel frightened when I am "in" the dream.

Hi Nervous Sleeper,

I get the feeling that you have the ability to channel.

It would be a good idea when you climb into bed to ask for peace, love, tranquillity and patience to be with you. Then ask for a white light of protection to surround you. Take a few deep breaths, relax and ask, "Are you my guardian angel? What is your name?" Then just wait quietly. More than likely you will find that a name will become very persistent in your thoughts and one that really sits well with you.

Thank them, and then ask them if they can help you to remember what messages and visions you have had in your dream.

It's good that you don't receive terrible messages and that you feel safe in your dreams. It shows that you are well protected. Remember that it is important to ask for protection and only for good things. They can only help when you ask and you are in control of yourself, even in your dreams.

The feeling of nervousness before going to sleep may simply be your connection to the vibrations of your guardian angel. Take a few deep breaths and each time you inhale say the word "relax". That should help you to become more at ease.

Keep a notebook and pen beside you and when you awaken from the dream, write down what you remember of the dream. You could also ask whom the messages in the dream are for.

If you would like to, you could also ask before commencing your dream, for messages for a certain person.


Q. I have tried to connect with my angels on a daily basis but can't hear what they are saying to me and I don't appear to get answers to my questions though I still talk to them. I believe that they are there and have asked them to speak louder but still can't hear them. I have read several of Doreen Virtue's books on Angels and would love to connect with them. I have tried meditating to see if I can connect but within 5-8 minutes of meditating I open my eyes. It's like a fear of some sort (that is the only thing I can put it down to though I don't know what sort of fear) is blocking me.

Many people believe that they should be able to audibly hear their guardian angels. Try to be more aware of thought messages (like E.S.P.) coming into your consciousness. Particularly those that are consistent and repetitive.

The fact that you believe they are there and that you talk to them is really great.

Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real.

Being able to meditate for 5-8 minutes is really good. Opening your eyes after that time suggests that your guardian angels are letting you know, that is enough for the moment. Trust them, they know what is good for you.

Meditating is good for the soul and restful for the body, but like all things, it takes time to tune into yourself and your guardian angels. Before you commence meditating, ask your guardian angels to be with you, ask them to help you relax, that you would like to connect with them and that you would like to receive clear and concise messages from them. Make sure that you are explicit in what you ask for and always ask only for goodness.

Do you know their names? Have you asked them? If you have, more than likely you will have felt thought messages of consistent names.

There's a really good book available called "You Can't Afford The Luxury of a Negative Thought" by John Roger and Peter McWilliams. I would recommend you obtain a copy of it, as I have found it to be of fantastic help to me.


Q. I am an earth angel. My guardian angel is Arkangel Gabriel. I have found great comfort being able to communicate with him and Athena, Michael etc. I have been attuned and I am experiencing difficulty in communicating with them at present. Do you think that there is a dark cloud over us at the moment?

Dear Earth Angel,

When reading your email, I felt the vibrations of your angels and received some messages for you.

1. I am being told that it is not a dark cloud. It appears that you are going through more of an emotional block at the moment. It is nothing to be concerned about, but you do need to look at this and deal with it, until you come to a resolution, and then put it behind you. I am told that you are strong and able to do this. Your guardian angels are telling me that they are ready to help you, meditate and request that you ask for their help, as they cannot interfere without you asking.

2. As you are an earth angel, it is important that you keep yourself grounded. This can be done by simply standing on the ground in your bare feet and pouring water from an earthenware or glass container. Repeat to yourself, "I am an angel of the earth".

3. If you allow yourself to be affected by others around you who may not be as aware as you are, and become too excited, it can upset the balances of your Chakras, and these need to be aligned for you to remain balanced and focused. A colour healing can help in this instance.

I am being assured that there is nothing to be worried about, and that they send their love to you. They sense you are feeling a little unworthy of love at the moment, but it is all there for you. Their love as you would be aware of, is unconditional.

I will say a prayer of healing, love and understanding for you. All is well.
