The Human League Australian Tour Dates

David Bowie famously said of The Human League -'I have seen the future of Pop Music" and he wasn't wrong.  Decades later, they are still in high demand and touring.  For the first time in eight years, they're on their way to Australia for a special run of theatre shows.

The Human League have become pop icons in their own lifetime, with a career in which they have earned a reputation for fantastic live shows, sold millions of albums, and inspired two generations worth of recording artists.  They have had No. 1 singles across Australia, Europe, the US, and undeniably given us some of the most memorable pop songs ever.  Fans adored their unique mix of sound and image - from their beginnings as an artsy, avant-garde electronic band, to their chart-topping new wave hits of the 80s.

The Human League's landmark album, Dare, which was released in 1981, saw them blowup worldwide.   It spawned the smash single, Don't You Want Me and followed on with favorites such as Love Action (I Believe In Love) and Open Your Heart.  Dare was so successful that it went on to be included in Rolling Stone's 100 Best Albums of the 80's.  In turn, the pop group constantly pushed forward, staying together and playing together.  The story of The Human League encompasses three very distinct line-ups, all of which have their merits but one thing unites them; The Human League are not just a pop group – they are possibly the last great pop group.  Believe.

Pseudo Echo will support The Human League on their East Coast tour of Australia.  They formed in 1982, releasing their first album, Autumnal Park, in 1984 which skyrocketed the band to household name status across the country.  Their second album, Love an Adventure, spawned another string of hits including its title track, Don't Go, Try, Living in a Dream and their remake of the Lipps, Inc. song Funkytown.  This particular song brought the group their biggest international success and spent seven weeks at No. 1 in Australia from December 1986.  In 2012 Pseudo Echo celebrated their 30th anniversary and released their sixth studio album, Ultraviolet.  Later this year, they will release their new single Nutbush City Limits.

Tickets go on sale for all East Coast shows on Friday 11th August, 2017
