What a year it's been for Tom Grennan!

Not only did he sell out his recent UK tour with an incredible show at Shepherds Bush Empire, Grennan went on to announce his Brixton Academy headline show and became one of the only recent artists to do so ahead of their debut album release. His upcoming October tour has over 30k tickets combined and the singer-songwriter is set to appear at 14 festivals over the coming months, performing in front of over half a million people, making him one of the hottest tickets in the UK at the moment.

The record is a personal journey exploring sobriety, love, depression, loneliness and reveals an openness and vulnerability ahead of his years. -Lighting Matches' sees Tom working with Grammy award winning producer Fraser T Smith (Stormzy / Adele / Kano / Plan B), Dan Grech (Liam Gallagher / Killers / Radiohead) and Eg White on the incredible track -Aboard' and is set to be one of the most important albums of 2018.

Lighting Matches also features the singles -Barbed Wire' and -Sober' which have both appeared on the Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio X, Absolute and Virgin daytime playlists and saw him break into the UK Top 40 airplay charts. Lighting Matches also showcases the single -Found What I've Been Looking For' which has racked up over 25 million streams. The deluxe album features an acoustic version of the Chase & Status single -All Goes Wrong', a nod to where it all began. On the album, Grennan reveals: 'I wanted to create a classic-sounding album that hopefully lasts for years and an album that doesn't sound like anything else right now. It's got orchestras, brass, choir and I took influences from old soul to hip-hop, blues and pop so it's just a big sounding record, I can't wait for people to hear it.

'All of the songs have their own reason why I love them and it changes every time I listen to the record, but right now there's a song called -Little By Little Love' and it's a song that rounds up the album and has a little nod to childhood and where I grew up. It shows me how much I've matured while being in this process and as a song goes - I think it's beautiful."
