Federation Square Victorian Wine Regions Showcase Series

Federation Square Victorian Wine Regions Showcase Series
Wineries from the Geelong Region will kick off the 2006 Federation Square Victorian Wine Regions Showcase Series. The series, now in it's 3rd year, takes place in the Atrium at Federation Square on the 4th and 5th January.

Over 12 Geelong vineyards will have their wines available fro tasting, many using the Showcase to display their wines for the first time. As well as long established companies of the Victorian wine industry, the Showcase will highlight many smaller and newer vineyards.

The Federation Square Victorian Wine Regions Showcase Series features a different Victorian Wine Region every month over a year, culminating in the Federation Square Annual Wine Awards and Wine Showcase. Buller & Sons from Rutherglen won the inaugural Wine of the Year with their internationally lauded Muscat.

The Showcase Series is designed for people who love wine - whether they know a lot or a little, or are starting out on their journey of discovery. It's an opportunity to taste wines often not readily available in the marketplace, to talk to winemakers, ask questions and discover why Victoria is known as the state of small winemakers and Melbourne one of the Global Wine Capitals of the World.
