What's a girl to do? Successful but single Beth (Kristen Bell) is in for the ride of her life when, in Rome, she chooses the wrong fountain to pick up coins from, and gains an army of devoted admirers in When in Rome, now available on DVD.

Art curator Beth is on the verge of giving up on love altogether. With her job at the Guggenheim and her New York lifestyle to her liking, all that seems to be missing is that special someone in her life. Further still, when her sister announces her impulse Rome wedding, Beth packs her bag expecting to be alone on another perfect romantic occasion.

Things, however, are looking up! At the wedding Beth meets the handsome and charming Nick, played by Josh Duhamel (Transformers and Transformers Revenge) and it seems maybe she has just met Mr Right.

But when it looks as though her luck had changed, true to form Beth spies Nick in the arms of another women! Frustrated, and a little tipsy, she jumps into the reputed 'fountain of love' and collects three coins, instantaneously causing her luck to swing too much in her favour!

Not realising her error, Beth is now pursued back to New York by the four owners of the coins, all convinced that Beth is the love of their lives! This includes sausage magnate Al (Danny Devito) who calls on Beth for private tours of the museum; Italian painter Antino, played by Will Arnett (of Arrested Development fame); Lance (Jon Heder), a creepy street magician; and Gale (Dax Shepard), a narcissistic model obsessed with his body.

Meanwhile, Nick has not forgotten Beth and begins to pursue her back in New York. But when Beth learns that by taking the coins from the fountain she was responsible for the curse that has men chasing her, could it be that Nick's interest is the result of the same curse? Or could it be true love?

THE LOVERS' GUIDE TO ROME

Celebrate the release of the romantic comedy When In Rome with this lovers' guide to Italy's passionate capital city. History tumbles out of every corner as visitors wander Rome's famed cobblestone streets and romantic lanes, but aside from the regular tourist hotspots - including the Pantheon, Colosseum and Sistine Chapel - where should lovers visit to enjoy the ultimate romantic getaway? Read on to find out about these hidden gems in the historic city...

A ROMANTIC STROLL...

Rome is filled with romantic streets where you can wander arm-in-arm with your lover, as well as cute restaurants hidden away in quaint corners - but the main areas of the city are often bustling with tourists. Escape the crowds to the smaller lanes between PIAZZA NAVONA and the TIBER RIVER where you can stroll past local workshops, artisans, antique stores, wine bars and coffee shops. Via dei Coronari, Via Giulia, Via Monserrato, Via dei Banchi vecchi, Via del Governo Vecchio and Via dei Banchi Nuovi are the best spots to romantically roam in Rome.

CUPID'S COVE...

Located in the bohemian and romantic quarter of Trastevere, VILLA FARNESINA was built in the early 16th century. It stands amidst a garden of exotic trees and it's the perfect place for art and nature lovers to visit. The interior of the villa features frescoes commissioned by great Renaissance painters including Raphael. See if you can spot his painting which depicts the great love story of Cupid and Psyche.
INSIDER TIP: The villa is open to the public every morning (except Sunday) until 12.30pm. Get there early!

SWAN LAKE...

The VILLA BORGHESE is one of the most beautiful public gardens in Rome. It's a popular place for dog walking, jogging and picnicking - and it's home to amazing museums and galleries. Take an hour out of your schedule to rent a boat on the lake and float among the ducks and swans. Perfecto!

THE KEY TO ROMANCE...

Wander up AVENTINE HILL, a beautiful residential part of the city, and continue through to the famous Orange Garden & Rose Gardens. Take your time to savor the striking views of Rome's historic domes and buildings below until you stumble across an iron gate with a keyhole. Peek through for a surrealistic surprise: a view of St. Peter's Basilica framed by rose bushes.

INSIDER TIP: This is the best-known keyhole in Rome, so don't feel silly gazing through the gap. You won't be the only one doing it!

LOCK IN YOUR LOVE...

In 2006, a romantic novel by Italian writer Federico Moccia gave birth to a new romantic legend at the PONTE MILVIO. Since then, young lovers have flocked here to hang padlocks on a lamppost on the bridge and then throw the key into the Tiber River. The lamppost was in danger of collapsing, so in 2007 the mayor installed steel columns on the bridge for couples to continue the new tradition.

WATCH THE SUN GO DOWN...

The best spot to catch the sunset is from the top of GIANICOLO HILL. The city shimmers below as the sun sets in the distance revealing an awe-inspiring view of Rome's ancient landmarks. Afterwards, wander downhill to the romantic Travestere neighborhood for a glass of wine and a bite to eat. Bliss… INSIDER TIP: The fountain in Travestere's piazza is a popular gathering place for locals, so lap up the truly Roman atmosphere!

THE NIGHT IS YOUNG...

When the sun sets, it's time to get your groove on at the bustling bars and clubs of the city. A local favorite is LA CABALA, which is found on the third floor on Via Del Soldati. It's a lively spot with great music and amazing views over the Tiber River. The perfect way to end the perfect day!
