The NBA Exhibition

The NBA Exhibition

NBA-Themed Exhibition Showcasing the Lifestyle, Culture and History of the NBA

Opens Wednesday 3 April at District Docklands in Melbourne

The National Basketball Association (NBA), Expand Trading Company and Muse Marketing and Entertainment, entertainment companies focused on delivering family experiences, and Fever, the leading entertainment discovery platform, will be bringing 'The NBA Exhibition' from Brisbane to Melbourne in April.

'The NBA Exhibition', an NBA-themed fan experience showcasing the lifestyle, culture and history of the NBA, made its Australian debut in Brisbane last September, and will move to the District Docklands in Melbourne in April.

The exhibition provides fans in Australia of all ages multiple touch points to interact with the NBA.  Combining the NBA's rich and storied history with the current generation of players, 'The NBA Exhibition' will take fans on a journey of discovery across 20 themed sections.  Fans will have the unique opportunity to participate in customised activations including virtual and augmented reality experiences, photos with the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy, and much more.

Upon entering the 1,100 square metre venue, visitors will discover a multi-sensory NBA experience where they will be able to test their abilities, measure their vertical jump and reflexes, showcase their shooting skills, and more. Additional highlights include: an augmented reality photo booth, offering guests the opportunity to take their photo with NBA players; Slam Dunk Selfie, where visitors can pose to get a photo of them in dunking motion; Measure Up! with shoe and hand prints of NBA players, past and present; virtual reality booths, with VR goggles to experience NBA highlights; and the Infinity Room, with surround sound effects and footage of some of the league's most memorable moments. The exhibition will also feature a dedicated section highlighting current and former NBA players from Australia, and display bespoke pieces of art by Australian and First Nations artists originally commissioned for NBA Gallery, a pop-up exhibit which took place last year in Sydney.
