Music to the ears of live gig lovers, Great Southern Nights is back from 8 to 24 March 2024 supercharging vibrant cultural events in NSW and reigniting the state's live music scene.

 

The much-loved event will deliver more than 300 live gigs in March 2024 at venues across seven regions in NSW including Sydney's inner city, Western Sydney ,Wollongong, Newcastle, Wagga Wagga, Tamworth and the Northern Rivers, creating the perfect occasion for visitors to turn a gig into an unforgettable weekend in Greater Sydney and NSW.

 

From rock royalty like Jimmy Barnes to Jessica Mauboy to JK-47,  get ready for a live music program that transcends generations. There's no genre left unturned and the music of past, present and future collide in a spectacular showcase of Australian talent.

There's a huge contingent of Australian indie rock, pop and dance music legends playing Great Southern Nights in 2024. Alex Lahey, Ball Park Music, Budjerah, Cub Sport, Dune Rats, The Presets, Sarah Blasko, Sneaky Sound System and You Am I to name a few, all with numerous awards and accolades on their mantelpieces, along with hoards of dedicated fans.

 

Ball Park Music said, "We're extremely excited to be involved again with the Great Southern Nights program. This time we'll be heading to Northern NSW to play our first ever show in Brunswick Heads. A few of us grew up in this area so it feels really special to come back and play. We'll have our good friends Bean Magazine in tow too. It's gonna be a ripper of a gig."

 

Sneaky Sound System said, "Wagga Wagga, get ready as we're packing up the car in March and bringing the tunes to start the party for Great Southern Nights!"


Icon-status Australian artists like The Church, Hoodoo Gurus, Kate Ceberano, Jon Stevens and Peter Garrett & The Alter Egos will be gracing stages across the country. Some of our country music cream of the crop including Australian icons Kasey Chambers, James Blundell and James Reyne will perform hits from their extensive back catalogues.

 

Fans of hip hop and rap will be spoilt for choice with some of the nation's finest artists spitting lines alongside the rising stars in the scene. From established names like 360, Bliss N Eso, Drapht, Illy and L-Fresh the Lion, to emerging acts like Sophiya and JK-47, along with RnB up-and-comers Pania and Kye, there's something for everyone.

 

The series will showcase some of Australia's newest, brightest emerging talent like Becca Hatch, King Stingray, The Buoys and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers. Get up close and personal with these artists at intimate Greater Southern Nights venues, as they'll be selling out stadiums in no time!
